Hi Bill,

It sounds like there may be an issue with the pressure gauge on your pump. It might help if you connect your SUP to a friends pump or an electric pump just to be sure it will inflate to 15 PSI. If that still doesn’t do the trick, and you still experience a large amount of bending on the board, I’d recommend reaching out to boat with photos. We’ve had paddlers around the same weight on the BOTE Breeze, and saw almost no flexion, so this does seem unusual.

I had my Bote Aero Breeze 11’6″ out on the water for the first time today and was concerned. When I stood it felt unstable and my friends said it looked as though my board was bowed at the point I was standing with the word BOTE almost fully submerged and the nose/tail well out of the water. I am 230lbs, which is heavy but this board is rated for 330lbs, so I didn’t think this would be an issue. I checked the PSI twice (went back to launch and hooked up Bote’s pump) the first time the PSI was on the low side, around 12 PSI so I upped it to 15 PSI. This seemed to help but once again my friends noted the bow in t the board (second PSI check showed still 15 PSI). Is this something that might get better as the PVC breaks in? Should I be concerned?
