Interesting. It may depend on where you order it from. Our demo board came from Green Water Sports (with the transformer bag) and their product description indicates the same. It may also be a change in model year product kits. We’ll check into it. Thanks.

Just took delivery of my Ride 10′ 6″ limited edition.
Can’t wait to get it out on the water.
Just a quick point to notice,
It sounds like your review board came with the ATB “transformer” bag. Mine came with the standard ATB bag….so I don’t think I can remove the bag and just use the straps, like you suggested in the review.
Maybe they are just shipping with the regular bag these days.

I didn’t realize there were so many options for multi-person SUPs. The comparison chart really helped me decide which one would be the best fit for my family outings. Can’t wait to hit the water this summer!

John,

Yes, you will be fine on the Cruiser Ultra. If you are extra worried about stability and don’t have much natural athleticism, then you could look at the Blackfin Ultra XL as well.

Comment on Isle Explorer Pro 14′ Review – 2023 by Justin - Chief Paddler https://www.supboardguide.com/isle-14-explorer-pro-review/#comment-162687 Thu, 04 Jan 2024 20:48:03 +0000 https://www.supboardguide.com/?p=15119#comment-162687 In reply to Michael Sears.

Michael, the 14′ Isle Explorer Pro is as stable a SUP as you can find that is 31″ wide. However, if stability is your main concern and your only looking to tour occasionally then I would recommend you look at the Isle Pioneer Pro series. At 6’3 and 250 lbs, you will be more comfortable on those when laying on the board. However, they are also super rigid and perform better speed-wise than you would expect given how stable they are.

Do you think the narrower 31 inch width 14 foot board will be stable. Would it be less stable than a 12 foot board that’s 33 inches wide. I live on oak island nc and there’s no waves a 100 foot out. Usually pretty smooth. I’d use the sup just for getting sun laying out in the sun. Only a small amount of touring. Would a 14 foot board be more stable than your 12 foot board? Even if the 12 foot board was wider say 33 inches or so? I’m a bodybuilder and athlete. 6’3” 250lbs. Stability is my priority. I want confidence it’s not going to flip over.

I’m new to paddle boarding and looking to but my first. I’m 6’2″ and 205lbs, would this cruiser Ultra be a suitable board for me to start on? Thanking you for your advice.
